Samson – Broken Promises

In this message from the Broken series, Wayne Surface examines Samson’s life as recorded in Hebrews 11:32 and Judges, exploring why God included this flawed judge in His Hall of Fame. Though Samson was the strongest man who ever lived and called by God before birth, his pride and self-reliance led to repeated failure. Wayne identifies the “Samson Syndrome”—the dangerous attitude of “I can handle it,” “I’m different,” and “it won’t happen to me”—and shows how even the mightiest among us cannot defeat sin in our own strength. The message challenges us to separate unto the Lord, not merely from the world; to rely on God’s Spirit rather than our flesh; and to build genuine friendships that hold us accountable. Whatever mess we’ve made, there’s still time to finish well.
