Passage
2 Chronicles 26; Isaiah 6:1-8

In this sermon on King Uzziah from 2 Chronicles 26, we explore what it means to have a good name and to find our strength in the Lord. Pastor Wayne Surface challenges us to understand that our peace comes through strength—God’s strength, not our own. Uzziah began his reign well, seeking the Lord and prospering. But when pride took over, he forgot that his strength came from God. We learn three key lessons: First, does God know your name? Your salvation depends on calling upon Jesus Christ. Second, we must put on the armor of God daily to win the spiritual battles we face. Third, we need accountability, community, and humility to avoid Uzziah’s tragic downfall. The sermon emphasizes the importance of church, godly mentors, prayer, and staying strong in the Lord through His power, not our own.
