Passage
1 Timothy 6:1-2

In this sermon, Ensener Nerro explores 1 Timothy 6:1-2 and Paul’s instructions to servants and slaves about honoring their masters. Rather than justifying slavery, Paul teaches how to live faithfully within cultural realities—and how the gospel ultimately transforms relationships. Ensener explains the historical context of slavery in Paul’s day, contrasts it with modern understanding, and shows how these verses apply to all of us today in our workplaces and under authority. The key message: your attitude at work, in school, and under pressure reflects your faith. Whether you work for a believing or non-believing boss, your testimony matters because you’re ultimately serving God. Through the lens of Philemon, Ephesians 6, and Galatians 3, we see how the gospel levels the ground at the cross, calling both workers and leaders to treat one another with grace, respect, and Christian integrity.
