Lord, That I May Receive: Prayer with Passion and Persistence

In this sermon on Luke 18:35-43, we learn from the blind beggar’s prayer how to pray for miracles. Pastor Surface teaches that effective prayer requires passion and persistence—praying from the heart with deep sincerity, not empty repetition, and refusing to give up even when faced with obstacles. Through the moving story of Joy’s 35-year prayer for her husband Willard’s salvation, we see how persistent, passionate prayer can move the heart of God and bring about transformation. This message challenges us to examine our own prayer lives and to seek God’s power through genuine, persistent intercession.
