Listen to God: Sacrifice Without Obedience Week 19

In this Wednesday evening study of Psalms 50, we examine God’s rebuke of Israel’s misplaced religious practices. God emphasizes that He desires obedience, praise, and a contrite heart far more than material sacrifices. We explore what truly pleases God—including thanksgiving, keeping our vows, and genuine worship—and challenge ourselves to examine our own motivations in giving and service. The message reminds us that religion without relationship with God is empty, and that our actions must align with our claims of faith.
