Isaac

In this sermon from the Broken series, Wayne Surface explores the life of Isaac through Genesis 24-26 and Hebrews 11:17-20. Despite Isaac’s imperfections—including repeating his father Abraham’s mistakes and favoring one son over another—God blessed him and credited his faith. We learn that God is gracious toward us even when we fail. Key themes include: developing a personal relationship with God (not just inheriting your parents’ faith), keeping your promises and vows, following God’s way one step at a time through prayer, loving your spouse faithfully, and breaking cycles of sin in your family. Isaac’s story reminds us that God’s blessings come not because we deserve them, but because of His faithfulness and grace.
