Idols of the Heart

In this message from the King Me! series, we examine Ezekiel 14 and explore how idolatry in our hearts—not just physical idols—can separate us from God. Though ancient Israel removed their physical idols, God revealed they still harbored idols in their imaginations and desires. This sermon challenges us to identify the modern idols we’ve allowed into our lives through entertainment, technology, sexual fantasy, covetousness, pride, and stubbornness. We’ll discover how to guard our hearts, control our imaginations, remove these hidden idols, tear down the high places of convenience, and break down the images we’ve built. Like King Asa, we must take drastic action to deal with idolatry and restore our first love for God.
