I Don’t Understand

In this sermon from The Dirty Dozen series, Wayne Surface explores Luke 24 and the disciples’ struggle to understand Jesus’s death, burial, and resurrection. Despite being with Jesus and witnessing His miracles, the disciples missed the central message of the Gospel. Pastor Wayne challenges us with a critical truth: sincerity alone is not enough. You can be sincerely wrong about Jesus. True faith requires believing that Jesus is God, that He died for our sins, and that He rose again—not just intellectually, but with your whole heart. Whether you’re unsaved or a believer, this message calls us to stop letting the Gospel go over our heads and to make it personal. Because when you finally get it, everything changes.
