Dear God,
I need your strength today as I face whatever battles may come into my life. I stand before you as I put on each piece of the armor and ask you to help me to defeat Satan and to stand in this world for you.
As I put on the belt of truth, help me to be honest with you about my spiritual walk and worship before you. I pray that there is nothing that I am hiding from you, myself, and those around me. Help me to reject the lies of Satan and to believe the truths of your Word.
May I be honest and truthful as I go about my business. Help me to speak and live the truth in love towards my neighbors; starting with my own family and friends, coworkers, and fellow church members. Thank you for showing me the truth through your word.
Help me to “keep my heart with all diligence” as I put on the breastplate of righteousness. I want to make “right-wise” choices today in all that I do and help me to be right with the people around me. May I interweave love for you and love for others in everything I do or say.
Lord, help me to be ready for every opportunity you give me to share the good news of salvation with others. Give me eyes to see the needs around me and to listen for the openings to talk about you and your love for us.
Lord, I especially pray for these people to be saved. Please use me or some other Christian to present Christ to them.
Lord, increase my faith. May I learn to have confidence in your protection when Satan attacks and stay faithful in my place with other Christians. You are my shield and buckler. Help me to boldly fight the battle that is set before me and not to draw back. May your Spirit lead me as I go against the foe and may I be ready to face whatever “fiery darts” that come my way.
